Rosary CD

How does one go about choosing a rosary and the individual parts of it?

Personal taste, what I think is cool or looks good? Money is no object so how do I pick one that is right? Are there any rules on who can have what type of rosary? Personally, I like the St. Benedict ones, but I am not a monk.

  1. Yeah, I'd say personal taste. Most rosaries have 5 decades, but I've seen 3 decade rosaries and even single decade rosaries. My best friend is from a family of 8 kids, so her dad recently had a single-decade rosary made for her mom, with everybody's birthstones for each bead. Pretty cool, huh?
  2. Just make your own and have it blessed. The children in the Sunday School (that I used to go to) used to make them to sell/give away during fund-raisers.
  3. Personal taste. My great grandmother had a beautiful one that had stones that looked like pearls, my Mother talks about it still to this day. There aren't any rules either of what kind of rosary one can get. If you like the St. Benedict ones, get one, you don't have to be a Monk. I'm actually saving up money now to buy my Mother an heirloom rosary. http://www.heirloomrosaries.com/ http://www.divinerosaries.com/ http://www.aohdiv4montco.com/rosary.gif
  4. pick and chose as you will but remember this the Rosary's only value is in reciting the Rosary. Personally mine is made out of simple string God Bless and Peace .
